Polymeric Organic Light Emitting Diodes

Description:

Polymeric Organic Light Emitting Diodes (P-OLEDs)

Dr. Ilesh Bidd
Vice President, Research and Intellectual Property
Cambridge Display Technologies

Abstract

Rapid progress in the development of P-OLED materials, displays and applications has brought this technology closer to commercialisation. This work focuses on the challenges faced in decreasing the power consumption of PLED devices by increasing the efficiency of electron injection; the talk highlights the progress made and provides insights into degradation, together with changes to materials that have been necessary to overcome technical hurdles.
