Laboratory job Opening in our Solids analytical department for Material Scientist, Geochemist, Chemist or other scientist with minimum BSC. Applicants from entry level to very experienced can be accommodated. Skilled applicants should have educational and/or professional experience using instrumental techniques such as XRD, XRF, FTIR, SEM, TEM, microscopy, radiochemistry.
Duties depend on applicant’s background and experience, but will include at a minimum preparation and analysis of samples for unknown material ID (general forensics), regulatory purposes (EPA/NIOSH/CARB methods) or R&D/manufacturing characterization. Additional duties may include instrument maintenance and setup; development of new methods; client consultation; preparation of reports and marketing materials.
The primary attributes that we are looking for are versatility, mechanical & instrumental aptitude, native intelligence, drive, and ability and passion to learn. Must thrive working independently but also be able to accept direction and work as a team member. Applicants having a range of skill sets will be considered, from entry level school lab experience to seasoned professionals.
BSc or higher degree required.
Starting salaries for entry level BSc range from $45-55K/year and $55-65K for MSc.
